Level 2

cost: From $199
prerequisite: Level 1 finished
you get: Make something wonderful with your glass skills.  All costs are listed here – no surprises! Come along!
duration: 3 hours

By popular demand, since Covid, I’ve been getting more and more requests for people to book more “private” time in the studio.  So if you’ve finished my Level 1 Plate making Workshop, you are very welcome to come to the studio and have a play.  Maybe its just you and me, maybe its you and your bestie.  If you want to do that, simply book the date and I’ll alter the number of seats available, that’s easy to do.  If you want this private workshop to be for your and your family, let me know and I’ll add that number of seats for you all, when you’ve fixed your date.  What fun!

Use your fabulous fusing and slumping skills to create something utterly unique to your sense of style and place – with help every step of the way, of course!

The price of this workshop includes each of you making your choice from these base sizes:

  • The elegant elongated platter is 20cms x 35cms ($199).
  • Make a 25cms x 25cm platter ($199).
  • Make a 20cms x 20cms drape ($199).
  • Make eight art glass coasters ($199).
  • Make a 20cm diameter round plate ($199)
  • Additional costs will be incurred if you choose to make the following items, here’s a guide of how much they’ll cost.

  • A beautiful long baguette platter that is 15cms x 50cms will cost you $255 to make.
  • The Giant Fruit Platter is 33cms x 44cms and will cost you $295 to make.
  • Make a “Leaf Litter” Sculpture – cost $235 to make.
  • I’ll get you to dd the difference to me prior to the workshop.

Let me know what you’re thinking of creating when you book in, so that I can have the glass and the correct size kiln shelf available for you.   Choose from our large selection of transparent colours, opaque colours, stringers, noodles and rods and “part sheets” that are in the studio at the time of your workshop. If you want particular colours or glass type, you’re best advised to check with me a week in advance so you have exactly the glass you want in stock.

The prerequisite for all the above is that you all have attended my LEVEL ONE  WORKSHOP.

Once again, please wear clothes that includes some kind of sleeve like a t-shirt (not a tank top), and closed toe shoes, (no thongs, no sandals that expose your toes). This studio is upstairs so you need to be able to climb our staircase.

If you’d like to bring refreshments, alcohol or nibbles to this workshop – that’s fine, assuming you are over 18 years of age.

You’ll be photographed during this workshop, please let me know if you don’t want this to happen.  (Its just for my website and social media.)

Once the class is over and the clean up is done, all you need to do is wait for an email from me showing the progress of your glass piece and I’ll let you know then, when it will be ready to be picked up.  This is usually about 14 days after the class.

Your creations will be kept here at the studio for 3 months afterwards and it’ll be donated to charity after that time.

For the moment only with people who are fully vaccinated can attend my classes. (I have 2 family members who are in the “at risk” category) so please be aware of this before you book. I am fully vaccinated as of February 2022.  We adhere to the Covid19 rules of the day. If you have been unwell, stay away and we’ll reschedule at no cost to another time when you are recovered.

If you’d like to organize a workshop with up to 8 friends, here at Swan Street Studios, please feel free to get in touch, it’ll be easy and fun to arrange this with you. It’s a great team building exercise and a fabulous way to catch up with family and friends.  I can run my workshops in the dining room of this new studio and we can happily fit in 8 people.

If you don’t see a time and date that suits you here please email me and we will add a new date that suits you.

Just let me know.  Talk soon.   jenie
